9 Elements : Action fight ball is a challenging game that requires finesse

These days, players are used to being spoon-fed easy victories with some pretty easy-to-win games, especially on Mobile. I tend to dislike these games as the novelty of winning easily tends not to sit well with me. And then I heard that 9 Elements : Action fight ball is actually quite challenging, so I decided to try it out. At the heart of it all, 9 Elements is just really a 1-v-1 volleyball game... where you can attack your opponent. And you really can! The attacks vary for each character, and it can be quite challenging for the one attacking or the one receiving. Should you attack while the opponent is setting up a spike or should you ready yourself for a massive attack? Should you play it safe and just do a normal spike while your opponent peppers you with fireballs or take the risk and do a massive special move as you spike? As for the controls, they are quite easy to understand. However, once you get to try them out, you will find that they're more difficult than they seem. Being accurate in this game can be hard to be honest, and you really should know where you want the ball to go when you do your attack. This certainly ups the challenge level.
There are certainly a ton of characters to choose from, and the good news is that none of them are trapped behind a pay wall! In fact, you can unlock them as you progress in the game. Each character has his own sets of special attacks. Players can also fully customize their characters, which is definitely a plus for me.
And it's not just their looks that change, but equipping items can also biff your characters as well.
There is also offline and online multiplayer mode as well. You get paired with an opponent anywhere in the world... or just your friend or relative that's sitting right next to you. Multiplayer can be fun, and is quite competitive, So far though, I found that the AI opponents were actually better than most of the people I've played with. But that's just with me. Was it because I was a beginner that my opponents also sucked? I am not really sure to be honest. As for the visuals, they are actually quite great. It's hard to believe that this is a pretty old game, yet the graphics still hold up. I have not encountered any bugs in the game yet, as I would often blame my lack of control over the ball with myself rather than my phone not being able to handle the graphics or the internet is slow.
The Good:
Great variety of characters and the game is actually pretty challenging. Good graphics hold up even after a few years, and multiplayer can be offline with Bluetooth connection. Characters are not locked behind a paywall, and you really have to strive hard to be able to unlock certain characters instead of just paying for them.
The Bad:
Controls can be difficult, which is not for everyone, especially those who like more simple games.
Final Verdict:
I love this game, it's very challenging. I love that it's difficult, and players aren't spoon-fed. Characters are varied, with a variety of playstyles. Players still need to unlock them, but payment is not needed, just hard work. Overall, a solid game.
