This review is embarrassing. Since you seem a bit unclear about mobile development, allow me to explain a few things. Apple requires a $100 / year registration that allows you to publish apps on the App Store. This requires that you either publish your app to the store or manually add each device ID to the provisioning profile. This is usually done by using Testflight for betas, which then requires that each user sign up with their device and wait for processing. Google Play requires a $25 one-time fee and supports hosting betas directly through the store. These betas can also be distributed without the need for any store at all. They support optional registration, but it is not a requirement. Google Play also supports direct feedback and bug reporting, both as a private and public beta. Long and short is that an app can provide a beta here with Android, but requires a tedious process to perform an iOS beta that is usually a bit unrealistic for "quick" or "early" testing.

Thank you for your info, I had no idea about these details since I’m an average phone user and the info is not widely spread for everyone to see. I am a bit surprised about the sudden change in release order since, some years ago, the best games used to come first on (and sometimes exclusive for) ios (infinity blade series and more). I own both android and ios devices but the iphone is the strongest, more stable platform for gaming ATM, that is why I was shocked at the fact that now, many games get dropped first on android. Again, thanks for the info.
