It's Castlevania, what more is there to say? Nostalgic for old fans of the series, as well as simple for newer players. I'd say this is pretty much what I'd expect from a Castlevania game!
My bias and love for the series aside...the sprites during gameplay are somewhat laggy. It often feels like the characters are moving too slow. Which is a bit of a hassle when trying to maneuver the levels or fight a lot of enemies. The controls altogether could use a little work, as I'm not a fan of the "flicking" different directions to do different attacks either.
Both normal and premium currency are easily obtainable, and so far it looks like characters are unlocked through the story(?) Which is a relief, as that would mean no expensive gachas with terrible rng to get your favorites! The levels are a bit underwhelming though...they get repetitive very quick, as do the enemies.
I really do love the ability to buy costumes for the characters though! And being able to customize and upgrade attacks to your choosing is always a plus! But I'll probably never touch the multiplayer feature, as I don't really see a point in making a game like this competitive...?
I think I'll enjoy this game a lot! The overall gameplay, graphics, music, and characters give a nice bit of nostalgia, and I'm curious what new things will be introduced in the future!
