Never had such an experience with a mobile game
THIS IS NOT A REVIEW, JUST MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS SO THERE ARE SPOILERS
Death Pallete is simply an unforgetable masterpiece. I just did my second playthrough of the game, and it left me with the exact same unintelligible emotions as my first time completing it. Here's why I think this game is so memorable for me:
- The storyline itself. The game makes you feel all sorts of emotions a human could have. When I started playing, I hated the painting for being such an annoyance, but as time passed and I found out about her depresing story little by little, I felt sad and sorry for her. And when you complete the game, I remembered all those feelings at once, which is something that I enjoy doing personally.
- The structure of the storyline. At first it seemed all over the place, but then I realized that is what makes the game special. It makes me want to go over the story once again in my head, and given how good the storyline already is, it's defintely not a problem. Also, it makes the second playthough a lot more worth it.
- The situation of the creator. Yes, the creator spent a lot of time and went through a lot of trouble to produce this project. Doesn't that make you appreciate the game even more?
- The music. Every game needs music. In this case though, the overall quality of the music is just fine, not that good. But, it fits each situation so well, it manages to blend in with the atmosphere you're currently in. That's definitely something to be admired.
- The art style. Just a small thing to add. It's not excellent by today's standards, but it is backed up by the addicting story, making it way more unique than it should have been.
This is the first time I've ever written an essay on a game. This just proves the level of charm that this game has, not for me only but for everyone who played this game. I really do hope more people knew about this game, it deserves a lot more than this.
