This is a visual novel with more of a game component than most other visual novels. I know it is supposed to be a strategy game, but it has a lot more story than action and the action is 2x auto.
That said, it is not a horrible game. The Live2D feels a bit more natural than a lot of the other places it's used. The textures are extremely detailed and this game uses a 45° angle to provide the same battle that a lot of others present in portrait in a way that feels just a little bit different.
I am not sure why the developers chose to force using standard views across all devices, since this is not a chibi girl vehicle battle (where this is most commonly seen). It makes the game appear a bit crowded on devices where that isn't necessary.
There are a lot of different strategies and some really creative mechanics, but they are wasted on being able to let the game play itself. I would have liked to see auto only possible on repeat levels. This is a game that truly loses out to being trendy.
Overall, the animations and graphics are what make this game. If neither of those are important, then this will seem like a very long digital manga.
