For anyone old enough to remember life without a cell phone, this game is a bit of nostalgia. For the rest of you, it is an upbeat adventure into 1990.
Pinball Quest was one of my favorite games growing up. I didn't have fancy consoles and I wasn't even a gamer. All I had was an NES and a TV with a screen as big as my laptop in a box as big (and as heavy) as my guitar amp. There have been a lot of mobile pinball games since then. Many attempt to be real pinball, but I missed the days when you had a quest. A pinball quest.
This game is what that one would look like in 2019. It pays homage to the 8-bit days, but also includes reminders that we have come a long way since.
The graphics are bright and the music is upbeat. The mechanics are easy enough to learn, but complex enough to be more than generic paddle mashing. This really is a world flipper.
