Happy Halloween, everyone. I'd like to welcome all of you to our latest and newest Discord community event, TapTap Eats!
Have you ever played a game and went to a tavern, shop, trade merchant, or auction house, initially to purchase food, beverages, or items to replenish your HP or mana, but only to find yourself feeling hungry because the item looks so i-i-irresistibly delicious? Well, we've got you covered!
TapTap Eats is inspired by exactly this. It's an event focused on interacting with other community members while talking about our favorite games, food and drinks, and drinks and food in games! But that's not all, though. Every Monday and Wednesday, we'll be posting up recipes in the Discord server, as well as on TapTap, which features some of your suggestions so that you can cook up your favorite game item, food, or drink at home!
For this week's TapTap Eats, one of our community members, Delta, shared their answer when asked, "if you could eat an item from a game,  what would it be and from which game?" They answered, Poro Snax from League of Legends.
So, today I have a pretty simple cinnamon bun recipe that will only take 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete.  Have you ever wanted to eat those iconic Poro Snax from League of Legends? Well, now's your chance, and plus, these are probably much, much tastier!
How To Make Poro Snax From League of Legends Recipe:
Equipment:
• Large Sheet Pan
• Rolling Pin
• Large and Small Bowls
• Cloth to Cover or Cling Film/Wrap
• Large Spoon to Mix {or} Whisk
• Measuring Cups, Teaspoons, and Tablespoons
• Butter Knife
• Plate or Pan
Ingredients:
• 20g (or) 1.4 tablespoons of Butter
• 250g (o) 1 cup of Strong White Bread Flour
• 1 teaspoon of Salt
• 8 tablespoons of White Sugar
• 6 tablespoons of Brown Sugar
• 2 teaspoons of Instant Yeast
• 150mL (or) 10 tablespoons of Milk
• 2 Medium Egg
• 1 teaspoon (or) 2 teaspoons of Ground Cinnamon (adjust depending on liking)
• 2 cups of Icing Sugar
• Red Food Coloring
Procedure:
1. In a bowl, warm only half of the required milk and butter until melted. While warming, mix flour, salt, white sugar, and yeast together in a separate bowl.
2. Once the milk and butter are melted, slowly pour them into the other bowl with the flour, salt, white sugar, and yeast. Mix until completely combined, with no visual clumps.
3. Crack the egg and mix again until smooth. The dough should be sticky, smooth, and elastic.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth or cling film and let the mixture proof and rise double in size for 1 hour. If you have the time, it’s best to let the dough proof for 2 hours.
5. Prepare your baking tray by buttering it, then lining it with baking paper.
6. Once your dough is proofed, prepare to dust your work surface with flour, as you’ll need to roll out the dough. Tip the dough onto the work surface and dust your rolling pin too. Slowly roll the dough into a rectangular shape.
7. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Once your dough has been flattened and rolled out into a rectangle, sprinkle the brown sugar and ground cinnamon over the dough, lightly cover all areas.
8. Slowly roll the dough with the brown sugar mix on the inside. Once rolled up, cut into three-inch spirals and place onto the baking tray. Then, let it proof and rise for 30 minutes.
9. While proofing for 30 minutes preheat the oven to 190°C or 180°C if fan-forced. Once the oven is hot and preheated, place the baking tray into the oven. Bake for 25 minutes.
10. While baking, prepare your icing glaze. Put the icing sugar into a bowl and slowly mix together the rest of the milk into the mixture. Separate ⅓ of that icing into another bowl and put in a few drops of food coloring to paint it red for the decoration.
11. Once the cinnamon rolls are done baking, press down on them with a plate or another pan. This step flattens the rolls, making it easier to decorate them later on.
12. After the rolls have cooled down, apply the white icing. Allow the white icing to cool down. Putting them into the fridge helps speed up this process. Then, apply the red icing, and done! You have Poro Snax.
Optional. If you’re having difficulty decorating the rolls with icing, try using jello/jelly.
And that's how to make the iconic item, Poro Snax, from League of Legends. If you'd like to participate in our newest community event, TapTap Eats, feel free to join TapTap's Discord server. For more game-inspired recipes, stay tuned!
