I have not played War Tortoise 1 before, the first impression I play War Tortoise 2 is kinda a tower-defense but your battle tortoise is mobilizable. The early part of this game especially when I start to play this game, I feel the game is slow-paced, lack of credits (money), manually shoot down enemy takes my time. But this won't take too long. (And I still think this part can be designed for better experience)
After unlocking the big map feature, while defeating the enemy to get credits, the battle tortoise can also slowly move to various areas. This big map has the feature of an open world, and random events will appear, including chests, encounters, etc. This makes the boring battles even more fun.
And..just like other said, very recommended, if you like shooting game. The graphics quite excellent, as well as the 3D model of your tortoise.
