This is one of the few games I uninstalled before finishing the tutorial. I like my cutscenes as much as the next guy, but I do not miss the days when you watched videos online at 640x480 native resolution.
This is a somewhat action game, not unlike some of the more impressive titles that have a similar art style and similar basis on a series. This one really phoned in the overall quality, though. The controls feel like they were thrown on the screen without any real effort to position them cleanly and the graphics really aren't all that amazing.
The scenes are half 3D on 2D backgrounds, so it has that look of an older arcade game. There is some value in the nostalgia to this effect, but it doesn't fit the game. Instead, it looks like a cheap solution to optimize without much effort.
I am sure there is something here for fans of the brand, but those with no investment in the title may not fall in love with it over this game.
