This War of Mine - A Quick Game Review!

This War of Mine is an action-adventure survival mobile game. Honestly, I was really frustrated at first playing this game due to the lack of a proper tutorial for this game. But as soon as I figured out the game, I really started enjoying the gameplay. I had never played a very unique and intriguing survival game like this. The main plot in this game is that you are in a place affected by war and you have to survive as a team of 3 characters. Yours survival skills will determine how far you can progress in the game. Unfortunately, you will have to pay to play this game and you have to pay even further to unlock its other playable contents. I would have really appreciated, if all the contents were provided for free in the first purchase.

Looking into the gameplay, you can first choose a team among various team options. In a team, you can have a total of 3 characters where each individual has his/her own unique survival ability. In the game, when you start, you will be in a wrecked house structure with lots of supplies here and there. You have to gather all the supplies efficiently as the time keeps passing on the top left corner of the screen. You have to be very efficient on managing your shelter with your 3 team members in the day time. I really loved how you can micromanage your characters and assign each of them with different types of task at the same time. I felt it like a challenge to manage the shelter as best as possible in the limited time which was quite thrilling for me.

Whereas, in the night, you can go to the nearby structures/buildings to scavenge the necessary materials like foods. I was happy to have a character who was really good at scavenging and assigned him to scavenge in the structure with most food. I just loved how this game gives you tactical challenges.

While scavenging in another building, you might find people who don't like your presence and may become hostile towards you. You can either just ignore them and just keep looting or fight them to silence them. In survival mode, you are the first priority. This game has some excellent dialogues with properly setup NPC characters which can trigger your sense of moral judgement. What would you do? I just found these setups a mastermind creativity. This is what really blew my mind and I could really feel and appreciate the realistic aspects of this game.

You also need to keep eye on the status of your characters. If they are hungry, feed them. If they are tired, make them sleep on bed. If they are wounded, Give them bandage. There are just too many things you need to do to keep your team alive and healthy. Managing the health of your team is the key to success in this game. You can get materials from scavenging during night or you can barter with the other allies nearby who might come knocking at your door! There are all sort of ways to keep your supplies full and keep making new things in your shelter with the help of workshop.

Overall, this game is fantastic! The gameplay feels very realistic and the gameplay mechanics is way too advanced with lots of gaming features and wonderful 3D model characters/items and great graphics. I highly recommend you guys to try this amazing game out even if you have to pay to play this game because its really worth it! Honestly, I feel very lucky to encounter such a mind blowing game with really good plot and fantastic gameplay experience.
