This is my personal thoughts on the alpha version of gangstar New York

Lately the mobile gaming community is somewhat interested in gangstar new york ( the sequel to one of the best open world games on mobile ) , but sadly i have to break it to you that the game isn't similar to the previous game gangstar vegas .

I know that it hasn't been completed yet but the core gameplay is generic , lacks of uniqueness and it plays like a copycat of fornite . There's only a game mode which is cash royale where you drop in eliminating enemies , collecting cash then after 20mins who has the most money wins . I don't know why the dev still on develop of this outdated genre after all those new battle royale got released and died out one by one . And yet Gangstar New York isn't an exception .

Pros

- Graphics are good for a mobile game

- New players friendly , easy to understand gameplay

Cons

- Literally everything else you could think of aside from the pros i listed

In the end , the most disappointing aspect of Gangstar New York is that its a disrespect to Gangstar vegas . Instead of getting "GTA V for mobile" , we get a low cost cosmetic show where everybody are superhero flying around shooting tasteless gun . Therefore, it is fun for the first few hours then it wears off really fast .

Overall , if you're a casual player , sure you can give it a try . But if you're looking for a brand new experience like peak mobile gaming i think you shouldn't waste your time for this crap

The new gangstar NY should be like GTA / Saints row games, to its original roots, but this battle royale nonsense is stupid. Hopefully once the game is fully release , the other modes will be back. Also just to point out, a mobile version isn't planned yet, they said that recently.

thats exactly what i thought about the game when i first played it the main game mode is already battle royale so it probably impossible for them to actually make a complete open world mode .
