I play this game since 2017 and i saw the improvements over the years. This game became really good.
The gameplay is really simple, you just have to build your team of 6 characters, jump into a stage and fight.
Every fight works the same, every turn you have 3 of your characters attacking and collect ki orbs to make them attack. the more ki you get for every one of them, the better. After your attack it's the enemy turn, which can attack as many times as he pleases (i have seen up to 10 attack per enemy turn).
If you collect enough ki, your character will perform a super attack and, if it's a legendary character (or LR) you can even perform an ultra super attack. Most of these "special attacks" have stunning animation and looks cool as fuck.
Some characters even have special abilities like an active skill (which can be activated by the player when conditions are met), even transformations or even revival skills
The team building is really complex, you have to find 6 characters with similar link skills (a set of skills that boosts the character stats when he is attacking in a turn with a character who has the same link skills) and one of them must have a "category boost" leader skill (every character belongs to many categories, like a goku is a pure Saiyan but also an earth-bred fighter)
Every character has also a rarity grade (from N to LR and can be raised by awakening), a super attack level (which can be raised by training him) and an hidden potential tab (up to 55% if you find him 1 time, if you find the same character 5 times you can bring him to his 100% hidden potential)
In conclusion, the game is fun, challenging but a bit grindy and it's a gacha
