Dyson Sphere Program's High-Tech Weaponry Update to Tackle the Dark Fog Threat Arriving in December
Dyson Sphere Program will be getting its long-awaited combat update in the near future, which means players are going to finally be facing down the threat of the Dark Fog. Fortunately, your plucky mecha won’t have to fight alone: developer Youthcat Studio has revealed new footage of combat gameplay that includes a bunch of the weapons and tactics that players can use to push the self-replicating robots back to the dark corners of space.
The new Dyson Sphere Program gameplay footage, which debuted at the Tokyo Games Show, offers some fresh details about the upcoming combat update. You’ll be able to select how much of a challenge you want to take on when you set up your game.
As a game starts, the Dark Fog won’t take much notice of you, but as you build your planets up and begin constructing a Dyson sphere, you’ll begin attracting its attention—and eventually, it’ll become hostile. To fight back, you’ll be able to build a wide range of ballistic and energy turrets, new types of drones, and equipment for your mecha.
You can always opt to start a game without any Dark Fog threat at all, but the more challenges you take on, the more meta-data you can collect—it’s all just a matter of how you want to play. We’ll find out more about Dyson Sphere Program’s combat as it gets closer to launch.
