All done with Super Mario RPG? Here's the colorful action-RPG you'll want to play next

Very few RPGs manage to capture the sense of whimsy and adventure of Super Mario RPG, so when one comes along, we take notice. That's why we couldn't look away when we saw the absolutely adorable and fun-looking Born of Bread.

This RPG puts players into the shoes of Loaf, a "flour golem" who must journey the world and make new friends while solving a perplexing mystery. Like Super Mario RPG, Born of Bread's combat system is technically turn-based, but different moves allow players to do extra damage by completing timing-based challenges. So it requires a little more attention than the average turn-based RPG, where you might just tap "attack" over and over.

Born of Bread is clearly inspired by Nintendo and Square's Super Nintendo classic, but it also sets itself apart in some big ways. For one, the beautiful art style looks like something straight out of a Cartoon Network show. And the game also has unique twists on its systems. For example, you can actually "stream" your fights to an in-game audience who will make requests for specific moves or feats, and if you pull them off, you'll win extra prizes.
