【Developer VLOG】Concept Design - Kraken
Kraken is the first Frost Giant to split from the progenitor Ymir, gaining mastery over frost magic. Later, Odin killed Ymir, causing his blood to form a deluge that submerged Jotunheim. The Frost Giants divided into three major tribes: the Kraken tribe, the Loki tribe, and the Mimir tribe. Kraken became the chieftain, leading a minority of the tribes to hide within the mountains of Jotunheim, using frost magic to construct walls that shielded their tribe from discovery and attacks by the gods.
Subsequently, Kraken gave birth to a daughter named Hidra and raised her as the successor. However, Hidra fell in love with a rising star within the tribe, Cassius. After Cassius passed the trials, Kraken passed on the chieftainship to him and arranged for her daughter Hidra to marry him.
Following this, Kraken disappeared from Jotunheim for a whole year. Upon her return, she found the kingdom on the brink of destruction. To help her offspring defend against the incursions of the gods, Kraken sacrificed her "Womb" to the springs, granting her cataclysmic power while transforming her body into a massive creature. However, this great queen was unable to wield her colossal tentacles to protect her people, as the entire land of the kingdom had been severed from the world by Odin and cast into the desolate darkness. Since then, the echoing roar of Kraken's relentless defiance reverberates throughout the cosmos.
