However, I think one thing that is lacking in this game is the lack of voice lines for each character. If each character had a voice, it would definitely make the game even more interesting.

Similar to most tower defense games, there may be some differences on next patch, but we haven't seen much of it in the early game. I say this because there are resources in your city, and some chapters of the game show you attacking enemy cities and fighting for territory. Will it be like Clash of Clans?

Yes, this game has a very well-developed plot. It tells the story of how the Disney Realm was formed, why there are enemies attacking you, and why you must defend your city.
