🕹️🎮 Gameplay, Story & Mechanics. Note: i will not be showing all offered game modes due to my current in-game level as some are level and progression restricted 🚫 as well as the game being in Beta currently. The game offers a multitude of game modes to choose from, these modes unlock as you progress though the game and increase your player level (Sung Jinwoo’s level), i will explain some of these modes in detail below.
Story: This is the initial and core progression mode that well… tells you the game’s story, in this mode you mostly play as Sung Jinwoo (and his allies when required), these have different difficulty levels and you will need to upgrade Jinwoo too finish the later part because they can get really difficult considering they are also timed challenge stages.
Encore Missions: These missions are very important to your account progression and must be done daily!, this is where you get your Artifacts (Gear), these Artifacts give your hunters and Jinwoo more stats to increase their power overall.
Extra information: As i understand it, the first two stages drop the same gear sets but different parts such as (Legs & Gloves for the first boss and Chest & Helmet for the second boss), and the final two bosses drop different sets (not unlocked yet from my side).
Battlefield of Trails: This mode is basically a tower mode with 30 floors to complete but there’s a catch (30 floors for Jinwoo & 30 floors for your hunters team) so basically 60 floors in total can be completed! And every 5 floors complete you get 5 Draw Tickets! Which is a very sweet deal indeed, this tower feels like a monthly or semi-annual thing that will reset after sometimes (just my speculation) but the rewards are definitely worth the challenge.

~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~ 👥🗡️Characters & Weapons.
The characters here are separate into two categories and i am a fan of this route they took, so basically you have you Main character which is Jinwoo to level up and gear up and you have your Other Hunters separated from him to do the same with.
This has its advantages and disadvantages, for me I enjoy the realistic approach knowing that Jinwoo is the literal Shadow Monarch in the making! And none of the others can level up (in story context) like he does (which is why it is connected to the players level) very cool.
On the other hand this means double the required materials and gold to level up the gear and weapons for both Jinwoo and the other hunters.
Main Charecter (Sung Jinwoo)
This is the main page with his gear and stats (he can equip two weapons unlike others) and can level up different stats as you play (you will choose as he does in the Manhaw).
You will be able to choose from many skills available to you and upgrade them as well (only two can be chosen at a time plus an Ultimate skill).
you can also gear Jinwoo up with four pieces (same as for other hunters) and these will help increase his power and capabilities as you progress, the gear offer different stats and set pieces, you will need to choose which you want based on your gameplay. Other Hunters (Banner hunters)
These are your other hunters, you get them from the banners/ Draw. They can be used in different Hunter only stages as well as allies/supports for Jinwoo, in addition to other game modes tailored for them specifically without Jinwoo’s assistance.
The Weapons are also separated into ones used by Jinwoo and ones used by Other Hunters, both need to be upgraded with their characters to gain more powers.
Extra Information: Both Characters & Weapons can be “Advanced” when you get more copies of the same weapon or character, this unlocks new powers and makes them stronger with each advancement. ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~ 💰🛍️ Banner (Draw), Shop & Battle pass.
These are not revolutionary in anyways nor should they be, every gacha or mobile game has them and they are mostly the same in design and functionality.
The shop has many items that can be purchased with both in-game currency as well as real life Cash basically, depends on the player and their need for progression I suppose.
The banners so far are separated into two, the Limited banner that offers a powerful hunter and their weapon (this change overtime as new powerful hunters are released) and the Standard banner which includes all the other hunters available as well as their weapons.
Personal Note: i prefer the fact that they made the banners offer you both the hunters & weapons together, even though this might make it more difficult to obtain one or the other when you need them specifically, it is still better than having 4 different banners to choose from all with their own pity system (Pity is 80 Draws that will reset if you get an SSR before 80 Draws or at 80 Draws).
The Hunter pass (battle pass) is the same as usual, you complete missions and you get rewards (Daily & Weekly as well).
Extra note: the one thing I dislike about the battle pass system right now is the fact that there are two extra tiers to unlock that are paid (Premium & Deluxe) premium can be unlocked using Gems 💎 which are also bought by real money 💰, while Deluxe is straight real money bought (you as a player don’t need to buy this but looking at the deluxe which only gives Limited Banner Draw Tickets, you can see how it can be “pay to win” or an advantage to get this tier), do with that info as you will and play the way you enjoy.

This is just some extra stuff in the game i’d like to highlight for people who might be interested.
The Special Commission is basically a log of your hunts (the more you kill of a certain monster/Type, the more points you get) and you get rewards for that progression.
The Inventory is where all your stuff is gathered such as boxes & chests, event items and level up materials and currency.
Events are special modes that will change and update overtime as the game progresses, they can be theme based like (Halloween and summer) in other games i have played by the same developer as well as random events such as the current one which is a Dice event.
Challenges are basically missions you complete as you progress, they are very important and give rewards as you complete them, most can be completed without even knowing because they are related to your gameplay progression you will already do as you play.

I personally love the Manhaw & the new released anime and by playing this game i love it too, i like the direction Netmarble took with it and from what i have experienced it is definitely a very fun engaging game with beautiful graphics and gameplay mechanics as well.
Extra Note: as the game is currently in Beta things might change overtime until the release date, I doubt much will be changed but the small technical stuff such as bugs, glitches and lagging here and there that are sure to be dealt with before the global release.
