Honestly Clash of Clans has been a childhood game for me since I have been playing it for around 10 years, off and on with multiple accounts so I got a few good things to say about it.
Let's start with Gameplay: there are a few basic things in the game that I will cover, resource gathering, upgrading your base, attacking other people's base, and defending your base. There are more things such as joining a clan but I'm not going to get into that in this review.
Resource Gathering: gathering resources is in my opinion the MOST important part of the game, since everything relies on it in one way or another. There 2 common ways to gather resources 1. collect them from your resource collector 2. attacking other people's bases to take their resources.
Upgrading: I would say upgrading is the second most important part of the game since if you have low level stuff it will be harder for you to attack, defend, or collect resources. Upgrading over all just makes your life easier and unlocks new and better stuff that you can use to your advantage.
Attacking Bases: There are multiple different reasons for attacking other people's bases. Such gathering resources, raising your trophy count, and getting your star bonus, which gives you extra resources when you get 5 stars. If you attack someone's base you can raid there storages which causes you to get a portion of their loot. And if wipe out a good portion of their base then you will get stars, which raise your trophy, they will also count towards your star bonus.
Defending Your Base: Defending is pretty important and it will be where you are using most of your resources. Whither it be upgrading your walls, to making an inferno tower that melts your enemies troops you will want to do everything to keep them from getting your loot.
Over all Clash of Clans is a pretty solid game and is worth playing, even if you just want to hop on briefly to upgrade your base it's just satisfying to watch yourself grow bigger and bigger over time.
