I choose Tetris

Multiplayer games are constantly at risk of being shut down due to the operational directions of the game companies, while single-player games, no matter how much you mod them, are hard to play forever (not to mention if your computer can't run them).
So if I really have to choose, it might be the return to simplicity with games like "Tetris" and "Sudoku". These kinds of games, though you won't lose sleep over them after playing a lot, the advantage is that no matter how long it's been, they are always fun to pick up and play.
One of the great joys of playing RPGs is [the anticipation for the future]: getting stronger after leveling up, acquiring better equipment, wearing prettier clothes, earning higher fame, saving more people...
The joy of playing the aforementioned simple games is [living in the moment]: a game is just a game. Even strategy games have many things that can be carried over to the next round. But for "Tetris" and "Sudoku," the only thing that carries over is our own skill. Honestly, I think it's hard for any hardcore game to be played for a lifetime. The harder the game and the more hardcore the player, the more this is true.
On the contrary, it's the simple games that can remain evergreen.
