Registering a QQ Account Explained
Wouldn't life be easier if China didn't have laws that require an ID to register for a mobile account? Sure, but that is no reason to start handing out your personal information to every game you play. This is where Tencent accounts make things a little easier. By doing a little extra work to register one account, you avoid the need to keep registering over and over whenever you find a new one.
You will need a mobile phone number to register. If you do not have a mobile number (or prefer not to share it), you can use a public SMS service, such as https://freephonenum.com/ or https://receive-sms.cc/ to receive the activation code.
Once you are ready, head over to https://ssl.zc.qq.com/v3/index-en.html and create your account. It is the QQ international page, so there is no need for fake info. After you create an account, make sure to register an email address. If you used a temporary number, you may also want to remove it from your account so nobody else can access your account.
If you have the "server is busy" error, you may need to wait a few minutes and try again (because the server may actually be busy). If this doesn't work, you can also try using a VPN or TOR browser (https://www.torproject.org/download/). If all else fails, you can always use WeChat (https://www.wechat.com/en/) for 99% of games that offer QQ login.
Now that you have a QQ (or WeChat) account, you do not need to verify (or spoof) your ID and phone number for new games. A Tencent login is required for Tencent games, but can also be used in lots of other Chinese games that would require you to provide your own (or fake) personal information that could get you banned.
