【Tap Topic】Which part of the game is the most important, why?

Translate
First of first, I would like to thank to our Hardcore Gamer "七曜(7yo)" who provides the topic for this week's Tap Topic and also be the first Tap user made this topic event. Here, I would like to say that we always hope and welcome those who like to play games, come and join making Tap Topic event together. We will release recruitment information about the topic event soon.
"Tap Topic" has passed two vol, which respectively are your most anticipated game and your best recommended game. In this week, we gonna still discuss about the game topic, as we may know your favour to one or multiple types of game.
But there must be something inside the game appeals to your mind, could be a small pixel game like "To the Moon".
There has no outstanding graphic or amazing gameplay experience in this game, it only an ordinary pixel style game to many players at first glance, but its fascinating story and unique narrative techniques achieve massive awards.
Could be a recent released top-notch action mobile, "Punishing: Gray Raven"
With the super-standard action style and graphics, many players are impressed. Even with the Chinese version only at the moment, a lot of non-Chinese players experience this amazing game.
Now it comes with the topic:
Topic: Which part of the game do you think is the most important, and why?
It can be any part of the game, either gameplay, the story, graphics, control or even IP Effect, etc. There must be one or more reason you care about before you try or buy the game, tell us!

Let's come to the fact that this mobile platform where LIMITATION exists. Within the limitations when the game is able to beyond the barriers , then that's the game we are looking at. Exploring this , let's take a look at the generic mainstream mmorpgs n arpgs. Mechanisms are somewhat similar. Farm. Grow. Equip n Gacha. Gacha. More Gacha   The game itself has few skills and movement and some with dodge. All good. And predictable. Here enters PUNISHING GREY RAVEN where you can mix and match combos to produce skills. An evolution in RPG /ARPG/ACGN gameplay. Totally off the charts. With eye catching visuals. So overall What we need in the future of mobile gaming. Aside from graphics...new gameplaymechanisms that are out of the blue. Gameplay that makes the individual feel that "there is no other game like this" when a game has this factor. It's the game to be reckoned with.

Totally agree. To answers the question we should consider the platform specific elements. I love classic RPGs with great storytelling, but hardly play any of those on mobile. For mobile games, I only want one that is portrait screen which I can play casually, or one that has lots of waifus lol

This topic actually is quite subjective and for me graphics, visuals all these things matters almost nothing to me. I mean they'll sure appeal more towards a wider demographic but the thing is "Even if you paint a trash can with all your soul and make it look like a masterpiece (by art pov), it'll still be a painting of a TRASH CAN". That's what I've experienced from trying out different games. Okay, no more talks about graphics and more about things that I actually have preference for... And they are Storyline and Music. I am a sucker for a good storyline in the game (and yes that also means I prefer more of rpg than battle Royale 😅). And to top it off with a banger or some sweet piano style music, or anything which is not just inserted there as in the name of game music but also fits with whatever the event or story is going on in the game.  And when all these elements are put together by a dedicated team , what is created is a MASTERPIECE! Yeah.. so that's that. These are the things that matters the most to me.

You right, just be free to talk, everyone has different perspective, and thats I can find more good games because from other's view, I realise what can make a game successful rather than just my perspective. and always, we all like to find perferal games here

I've been playing games my whole life on different consoles and now my phone literally toke over my gaming time, but i always felt something is missing (of course talking about official mobile games, not transfered games such as baldur's gate or final fantasy.. Etc) pretty much the story was always speeded up and everything just escalated fast and bam, final boss.. Till i found "evoland 2" oh god how much i enjoyed it, it has everything, story, content, action, rpg element, comedy, drama and more.. One of my best experiences and mostly recommended.. And i hope in the future gaming companies focus a bit on single player games, because people like me, i enjoy a journey with a good story more than farming and auto attacks

This is a really interesting topic for an indie lover like me. I am a person who often introduces games and criteria to select one of my games that is usually located in Graphics and Story, followed by Controls and GamePlay. Game graphics may not be excellent 3D, but there must be accents and design of the characters and the context all need to be unique inside. Amanita Design is one of the independent puzzle game developers that has perfectly applied meticulous hand-drawing technology to games like Samorost 3, Botanicula, Machinarium and Chuchel .... Or Neverending Nightamres with hand-drawn graphics. black and white embellished with scary blood red with a confusing and simpler story, we can mention Leo's Fortune - a landscape game with the story of recovering the stolen gold .... Of course the second condition is Controls, a series of smooth virtual keys that will help your gaming experience better - especially without discomfort. One of them is JackQuest : The Tale Of Sword. Smooth touch virtual keys provide the best mobile experience. Earlier, Capcom may have lost you in this clause when Mega Man Mobile didn't really optimize well. And sometimes I also come across a number of games with extremely impressive gameplay and really eye-catching graphics that I will put in the Best Choice list without further thought. It can be a unique comic style of the two versions of Framed, Gorogoa, or Florence with the unique mechanism of interactive storyline mechanism, Memories Reconstruction with puzzle play combining movies and Gunbrick with flip mechanism. Fancy box 😂😂😂. Perhaps this will be controversial but I often hear little OST of the game. When I play games, I usually turn off the sound and listen to my favorite music through the music player. However, there are exceptions, I recommend listening to the OST version of Orange Island NES Acoustic Version because you will chill the music from the first notes or the OST in the 3rd Chapter of Florence ...

It's hard to tell, cause sometimes it is the mix up between graphics and gameplay, doesn't matter if is high quality (Honkai Inpact 3), or low requeriment (Arcane Soul), sometimes can have some nostalgia feeling on it (FF Dissidia Opera Omnia), or a totally new and mindblowing one (Mekorama, Robotek); maybe is a genre that I love, like "Galaga" (Bullet Hell Monday & Black) or W3 tower defense mods (Alien Creeps, Arknights), or a new one that simply looks great (Typoman, Leap Day) It's the sum of the parts that compose the game, even after an awful first impression (Hexonia) I fell in love for it,  and time "needed for the game" it's vital too... The game must be a game, not an homework (Room of Doom) In short... I install almost whatever looks great, spend time accordingly to the fun given, and keep / remind those that I love (RIP Revolve8) Jyxe

My opinion is "Gameplay is the hardcore of my standard". In puzzle games, the gameplay's deepness and diversity is the reason which if I want to try.A excellent gameplay must have three aspect:diversity, addiction and easy to understand but difficult to master. (Diversity means have different modes or sequenced difficulty. Addiction means must be catch psychological weakness to be addicted.)

firstly there are many reason why a game being played.. in my opinion  usually it goes to  - pleasing your eyes : graphics, your ears : musics & sounds - your feeling : could be stories , competitive : maybe goes to gameplay or controls and many other things. now for my self, i think im ok with any..as long there are a (+)points from the game itself. so i dont deeply focus on certain parts . but maybe theres one thing that i rly want the most which is being able to play a game with friends together.
