Game has different genres, a game likes a book, while also some games make a book into a game. It whispers, using its subtle words, or a gigantic worldview, to form a virtual space inside every player's heart.
So a game is not only a pleasant entertainment tool, but more makes people feel the world's various attitudes and warmth of mankind.
No matter what type of game it is, the whole story behind, drives the whole game with emotional, dramatic and heart-touching to the player.
And...the touch point is different to each player, or it is not touched but the plot still makes you enjoy.
In "Final Fantasy VII", when you and your teammates alive before reaching the boundaries of Midgar, and after defeating the boss, you realize that you cannot turn back, the wheel of fortune is turning on.
'A future is not given to you. It is something you must take for yourself'. When the true ending song "Weight of The World" starts, when you getting countless hope lights from all real players around the world. This moment, "Nier: Automata" is not just a game, is a valuable treasure in my heart.

kinda like FFXIV nowadays, Final Fantasy XIV takes place in the fictional land of Eorzea, five years after the events of the original release. At the conclusion of the original game, the primal dragon Bahamut escapes from its lunar prison to initiate the Seventh Umbral Calamity, an apocalyptic event which destroys much of Eorzea.

This is an easy one. By FAR, no competition even close, the deepest and most compelling story line is Dragon Raja. It's impossible not to feel empathy and genuine caring (or deep dislike) for the principal characters. Starting at around level 42 or so, there is a 3 level gap before you can resume the Main storyline. I actually began grinding to level up fast so that I could resume. I'm now level 83, and I'm still very drawn in by what's going on. At the point where I'm at, it begins  to give back story giving us information we never had. There is a HUGE plot twist that left me sitting here with my jaw dropping!  How do you not fall in love with Luminous and Erii??  just when you think Caesar is a complete asswipe, he does or says something incredibly sweet and you begin to wonder if he may not be such a bad guy after all. And then there's Chisei Gen who just gets more and more strange. Thanks to the back story, I'm finally understanding him better. there are MANY unexpected plot twists that left me actually shouting out loud!  In all my (mumble) years in the MMO community, this story stands alone in terms of depth and complexity than any game I've ever played. If you are serious about your storylines, this one will not disappoint you. I promise you that. WORD!
