【Tap Topic】How do you think about the game rip-off?

Area F2 was almost the same as R6 lmao. they have drones, cameras, breakable walls, and etc. its just sad to hear that they got lawsuit by Ubisoft cuz i've been playing it a lot. Also is Genshin impact really a rip-off from zelda? Well i haven't played Breath of the wind yet.

Getting inspiration from a AAA game while creating a mobile game is fine, but game devs now a days goes beyond inspiration and just soulesly copy paste every mechanics and Gameplay elements of it. I don't respect that. Game development is a platform to show creativity and diversity not blatantly rip-off a high selling pc or console game. If they are taking something from other titles they should try adding an ingredient of their own to atleast hide the fact they are copying. But sadly the devs don't do that too!!

some types of games just are mostly like that. a lot of moba games do have rip offs from DOTA and league of legends. what ever game it may be.

There is a difference between reference and rip off.  Firstly, Area F2 was a true clone of R6. While we can safely assume that there are 7.13 Billion people in our small planet Earth, we can't be ignorant about the fact that atleast 10 persons would have the same concept of something even thought those individuals never met together. The scope or imagination and creativity goes beyond the limit of our perspective. Let's talk about the game environment now; when we are talking about referencing, for example: Zelda BOTW and Genshin Impact, what do you think is the similarity? The landscape? The main character? The UI? or The gameplay mechanics? It is important to look into all this factors, because you can't just simply call out something because it has a similarity. There's a fine line of distinction where we can differentiate between two stuffs. Or else we can sue all the 7 billion humans just because they have the same features as us with two eyes, one nose, one brain and same imaginative procreation. Let's quickly look at BOTW and Genshin, BOTW is an action adventure game where you play as the protagonist Link, it has towns and cities with mini gacha based cooking mechanics(Which is pretty basic for a game). Now, let's look at Genshin, does it have a protagonist? Ofcourse it does, because it is ARPG, does it have gacha? Yes it does, as it is a character collection game where you can use different sets of characters depending on the situation and difficulty of the battle. Does it have dungeons and towns? Yes, which ARPG doesn't have dungeons and dragons in their game. Does it have crafting and equipment system? Yes it does like all the other gachas. The only similarity would be the landscape features and the color schemes and it is nothing like BOTW. Which I believe is a reference of many games.

I want a ripoff of sea of thieves

The game had exact same mechanics and texture that you can definitely call it a clone ported on mobile, but the game was very well made,optimized and excellent in every way and it gave me hours of entertainment, that's what mainly matter! Ps:If you remember rules of survival was there before ping mobile and wasn't considered as a ripoff so.. Only depends on your perception.Though this game takes it to a higher level!!
