Call of Duty: Mobile - July 31st Community Update

Translate
Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile Community, we are back after our short break and we are getting ready to go full speed ahead on the next season. However, we aren’t there just yet and in this last week we have shown that Season 8: The Forge is still alive, kicking, and releasing new content with Days of Summer and Katana Kill. There is only a short while left in Season 8 and that means you’ll want to jump in, get all of those rewards, and complete the Battle Pass before it is too late.
Speaking of the next season, if you missed the last teaser image we shared on social media then here is a glimpse of the next Multiplayer map coming to COD: Mobile.
We know many long-time COD fans have immediately guessed this one correctly, as expected since it is so well known and it was in the public test, so we’ll have some more to share about that later on in the update. For now, let’s jump into all of the news, updates, and info below for this community update! Here is the full look at most events currently running or coming soon in COD Mobile**:**
• 7/29 - 8/7 ~ Days of Summer
• 7/31 - 8/7 ~ Capture the Flag mode
• 7/31 - 8/7 ~ Sticks & Stones mode
• 7/31 - 8/7 ~ Katana Kill challenge
• 8/1 - 8/2 ~ BR Warfare mode
• Early August ~ Next Update
*All Dates UTC
Next time you see an update from us it will be jam-packed with new dates all around Season 9, but for now there are many modes, challenges, and events all ending in the first week of August, so make sure to jump on those before they are gone, especially if you are working on any seasonal challenges, unique items, skills, or perks that may not return for quite some time.

Days of Summer
While this season has been jam-packed with post-apocalyptic themes and events, we also have something to brighten the mood and to celebrate this time of the year – Days of Summer! This vibrant event comes in the form of a challenge, a crate, and a new lucky draw.
First, the challenge offers you a way to grab some unique items with the Purifier – H2O (the first ever skin for an Operator Skill), the SMRS – Barrier Reef, and the Frag Grenade – Water Festival.
You’ll have twelve different tasks to tackle to try to grab those items and you can find plenty of info, tips, and tricks about the event in our recently released blog post: https://bit.ly/2DfHkcU
Spectrum Draw Redux
On the premium side of things you have the Spectrum Draw Redux and Days of Summer Crate.
First, the crate offers a brand-new character, Manta Ray (Naomi), the Backpack – Crystal Dream, another character Special Ops 4 – Shipwrecked, and a variety of other Summer themed items. You can find that all in the store now.
Secondly, there is the Spectrum Draw Redux. With this one we have two items returning from previous Lucky Draws and then an array of brand-new Summer themed items. The main items available to grab in this draw are:• (Weapon) KN-44 – Color Spectrum (upgraded to a new dynamic camo)
• (Character) Sentinel – Recon
• (Weapon) ICR-1 – Color Spectrum
• (Profile Frame) Chromatic Frame
• Calling Card Zen Master
For those paying close attention, you may have noticed some upgrades to the KN-44 - Color Spectrum. In addition to the new dynamic camo, we've added particle effects coming off the gun and an upgraded the death effect. The best news is that if you already have the KN-44 - Color Spectrum, you already have the upgrade -- no need to do anything, just equip it and show it off in game.
Find the Spectrum Draw Redux, Days of Summer Crate, and Days of Summer event all in-game now.
Summer Watch
To celebrate all of the Days of Summer goodness, and just as an excuse to give out some free items 😉, we have a social media program going on called Summer Watch. We are giving out various items from the Days of Summer Crate and Spectrum Draw Redux, and all you need to do is head to ourCOD: Mobile Twitterand jump in before we pick winners on August 3rd (PT).
That isn’t your only opportunity though, as there are various content creators and community leaders doing their own version of this as well. Just keep an eye for those other posts and best of luck to everyone who has entered the giveaway!Operator Skill – Katana
This brand-new Operator Skill for Multiplayer shakes things up by throwing you into a third person view and equipping you with a deadly melee only katana. This one-shot kill weapon has a short-range targeting system that allows you to easily close in and finish off your enemies with one swift strike, but you are still just as vulnerable as ever to any patient adversary waiting for you to be exposed.
You’ll be able to acquire this new Operator Skill through a challenge you can find under the event tab called Katana Kill. This challenge comes with 10 tasks that touch all aspects of Multiplayer, like using specific loadouts, playing certain modes, or even playing with friends.
Get a glimpse of that skill in action below and find it all in-game now.
For more information on unlocking that skill along with some tips about how to fully utilize this deadly skill, head on over to our newest blog post: https://bit.ly/30eF5jh

Season 9 Teasers
We’ve released quite a few teasers for Season 9. This is more than usual for a new season. thanks to some game-changing features that we want to talk about as often as possible. This new feature or system fulfills many long-term requests from the community regarding adding more progression, adding more customization options, adding more Battle Royale options, and revamping the UI.
If you’ve participated in the public test build you likely know what those all are at this point and we are nearly ready to announce them to the world. More on that at the end of this update, but for now we wanted to give a little treat to anyone who has not been able to participate in those tests; the next new Multiplayer map is Shipment 1944.
This rage-inducing close quarters map from Call of Duty: WWII will be released in Season 9. If you are a lover of chaos and non-stop action then Shipment 1944 is designed just for you. It also is one of the best ways to push through any general kill-based challenges or event tasks.
We’ll have more on that once we get closer to release, like our usual map preview video and Map Snapshot blog post. Keep an eye out for those on our social media channels or in our next community update.
Public Test Build
We’ve done two public test builds already for Season 9 (and Season 10) and we cannot thank you all enough for not only eagerly jumping into those tests but also for all of the feedback in the community and through the in-app reports.
We’ve opened up this early content to 60,000 players between the two tests and we’ve seen both of those fill up faster than any previously released public test build. Normally, we first share with a small group, then in community areas, and lastly on social media. With these last two releases we didn’t even get to the social media part of that process before it was all full. Thank you for that enthusiasm!
We may have one last public test build coming next week, but it depends on a variety of factors and it is still very much up in the air. For now, if you are in the build please keep sharing those reports in-game and keep an eye out for any other news about another public test build.
︴Bug Reports ︴
Since we have a big update coming soon, which will have a wide variety of bug fixes and improvements, it is a bit tough to discuss any specific issues. However, here are some quick notes on a few issues.
Desync Issues
We are hoping this issue will either be fixed entirely or significantly improved in the next update. If you are still seeing this issue after downloading the new update please reach out to our support teams so we can investigate further, escalate, and make sure that our teams can prioritize the issue.
Sound Related Issues
This has been one of those issues that comes in a variety of forms, whether it is losing VOIP randomly in a Battle Royale match, firing a weapon in Multiplayer and then losing all sound, or just seemingly inconsistent issues where certain sounds are dropping out mid-game.
We have tried to investigate all of these issues and unfortunately many of them are inconsistently occurring in ways that our teams have not been able to reproduce. We are still always willing to try though, so please keep reporting these issues and especially if you are still seeing them after the next major update.
Support Options
Lastly, as per usual if you are seeing something, experiencing something weird, or running into issues trying to play or access the game then please report it through any of our support channels. The main ones are:
• In-game support chat
• ATVI Assist Facebook: Activision Assist - Facebook
• Player Support Website:Contact Us
Final Notes
Tune in to our social media channels tomorrow as we start to ramp up our posts with content related to the release of the new update and Season 9 of Call of Duty: Mobile. We’ll begin it all with a lead-up and announcement of a brand-new system releasing in this next update. Everyone reading this likely already knows exactly what that system is thanks to the public test build, but we are excited and eager to officially announce and reveal it to the wider player base early next week.
We’ve mentioned our social media channels a great many times in this update, so for anyone not already following here are the primary global ones:• Facebook: http://facebook.com/CallofDutymobile

We do also have many region channels for specific areas, like Japan, South America, India, the Middle East, and others. You can usually find those by checking to see who the global accounts follow.
Keep an eye out for all of that news and also for some more information about the next stages of the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship tournament. We’ll see you all next week with dozens of social media posts and several community posts. Talk to you all then, have an excellent weekend, and make sure to grab anything Season 8 related now before it is all over.
