To kick off our global competitive tournament we are sharing initial details and anticipated timelines for the 2020 Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship.
STAGE 3B: REGIONAL QUALIFIERS (PLAYERS WHO QUALIFIED FOR STAGE 3B ONLY)

Stage 3B of the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020 is comprised of a Regional Qualifier hosted on GameBattles for each eligible region. In order to compete, it is the responsibility of each player who has qualified for Stage 3B to join or create a team of five players (plus one optional substitute) on GameBattles.
Each player will be notified via an in-game inbox message if they have qualified for Stage 3B and if so, will receive a unique regional code along with a link to the GameBattles page to redeem it. Once redeemed, players will need to create or join a team for the Regional Qualifier and the roster for that team cannot be changed once the registration period has ended. So, choose your squad mates wisely!
REWARDS!
1. The top 4 teams in each Regional Qualifier will advance to Stage 4, the Regional Playoffs!
2. Also, we appreciate all the feedback we received from the community regarding our rewards structure in Stage 3A, so in Stage 3B every player on a team that makes it to the Round of 32 in each Regional Qualifier or further, will receive guaranteed rewards in Call of Duty: Mobile as outlined below:
Rewards will be delivered to the players in their GameBattles inbox, after the conclusion of a Regional Qualifier, as a redemption code that can be redeemed at the Call of Duty: Mobile Redemption Center.
Teams that qualify for Stage 4 will also receive a message on GameBattles to send us their contact information in order to begin the onboarding process for Stage 4, the Regional Playoffs.

A complete roster requires a minimum of five eligible players and can have up to a maximum of six players.
A player needs to have redeemed their unique code before being available to be invited.

A player who chooses to join a team can accept their invite in GameBattles from their user profile menu. If you are logged in, you can also visit the team invite page by clicking here
Please note that a player must have redeemed their unique code for the respective Regional Qualifier prior to accepting an invite.
A player can assist the Team Leader in setting up the private lobby by inviting opponents as well.
All teams will be required to check-in to a Regional Qualifier on GameBattles, beginning 12 hours prior to the registration period ending, in order to participate. Teams who register with a complete roster during this period will be automatically checked-in.
Any member of the team can check-in on the team’s behalf. If a team fails to check-in, they will be considered a no-show when the tournament begins and eliminated on the spot.
The steps to create a team and invite other players or accept an invitation and join a team on GameBattles have been outlined in the video/guide below.
The match times for each round in a Regional Qualifier have been provided below. Each round will be played at the scheduled time even if a team receives a walkover in any of the previous rounds. Please adjust the times listed below for your local time zones.
Please click on the links below to visit the official GameBattles Tournament page for that particular Regional Qualifier:
Latin AmericaOtherNorth AmericaWestern EuropeFORMATEach Regional Qualifier tournament uses the single elimination bracket format, meaning that teams who win their matches advance and those who lose a match are eliminated. The 4 teams that make it into the semifinals of each tournament will advance to the Stage 4 Regional Playoffs. The teams will play until the conclusion of the tournament as the final results will determine seeding in Stage 4.
Each round in a tournament will be a best-of-5 match, which means the team to win three games will win the match. Each match will consist of Hardpoint, Search & Destroy and Domination game modes played on various maps. The maps played for each respective round of the tournament are predetermined.
For more details on the game mode and map order, along with other corresponding rules, please refer to the Call of Duty: Mobile Esports Settings page here. For a full overview of the tournament format, please refer to the Official Rules which can be found here.
TOURNAMENT PROGRESSION
Once the registration period has ended, players will be able to see the bracket for their respective Regional Qualifier on GameBattles and whom they will be playing against in the first round. Each team leader can then view the opposing team, friend the opposition team leader (and also their teammates) in Call of Duty: Mobile using their gamertag (i.e. their Call of Duty: Mobile in-game name), which is associated with their GameBattles username and invite them to a private match. Once the lobby has been filled with team members from both teams, both team leaders should ensure the settings for each game have been set correctly and the match can get underway.
After a match has been completed i.e. a team has won 3 games, both team leaders shall report the results of their match on GameBattles immediately so as to update the bracket. If a team wishes to dispute a result due to any issues outside of their control that affected the outcome of a match (disconnections, latency, cheating etc.), they should raise a complaint with the GameBattles operations team via Live Chat. Please be ready to provide evidence (screenshots, videos) to the team to support your claim.
Once a team has moved on the next round and the bracket has been updated to reflect who their next opponents are, the team leaders should ensure that their team is ready to play the next round at the scheduled time. The steps above should be repeated for every round your team participates in.
Please refer to the video/guide below for a step-by-step walkthrough of each step involved in the tournament progression.
You may reach out to the GameBattles team via Live Chat if your team experiences any issues during the course of the tournament.
Good luck and have fun!
