To kick off our global competitive tournament we are sharing initial details and anticipated timelines for the 2020 Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship.
STAGE 1B: SECOND CHANCE SOLO ONLINE QUALIFIERS (VETERAN RANK OR HIGHER) JULY 2ND - JULY 26TH UTC
We have reopened the Solo Online Qualifiers path to the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship giving all eligible players a second chance to qualify! Each weekend from July 2nd – July 26th UTC, eligible players ranked veteran or higher will have the chance to play to win Call of Duty: Mobile in-game rewards, and (for the best of the best) individually qualify for the second chance Team-Up Qualifier Stage 2B.
How it works
For each of the four weekends, once you accept the official rules and click “Sign Up” in the game, the tournament will go live and the first ten ranked matches you play will earn you tournament points. Tournament points are based on individual wins and your current rank; the higher your rank the more points you receive for a win. If you reach 80 points within the first ten ranked matches in any weekend you qualify on to Stage 2B. For eligibility information and a complete list of rules and settings, visit the Official Rules page.

STAGE 2B: REGIONAL TOURNAMENT (PLAYERS WHO QUALIFIED FOR STAGE 2B ONLY) AUG 16TH - AUG 24TH
It is up to each player to join or create a team of 5 or 6 players who have all qualified for Stage 2B in order to compete in Stage 2B of the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020. Once you've played one ranked match as a team, your team is locked and cannot be changed for any reason during Stage 2B. Each player has been notified via In-Game Inbox message if they have qualified for Stage 2B.

REWARDS!
Play 30 Ranked Multiplayer Matches with your team and unlock the Ruin - Championship Purple Soldier!
The top 512 teams per region will advance to the Regional Qualifier (Stage 3B) and win 1000 CP!

HOW IT WORKS:
A Team can play up to thirty (30) Ranked Multiplayer Matches during Stage 2B. The first thirty (30) Ranked Multiplayer Matches will be scored and points are given to the team for Ranked Multiplayer Match wins. 5 of the 6 Team members must play in a Ranked Multiplayer Match together to score points. These points will be used to determine the top 512 Teams per region that will qualify for the Regional Finals (Stage 3B)! The amount of points earned in Stage 2B is based off the team’s average player rank. Teams who have 6 players on their roster can change the lineup of their starting roster between matches.
Team progress will be tracked and accessible via the in-game esports page.

Team Owners:
The player who creates the team will be deemed the "Team Owner". The Team Owner is responsible for entering their teammates’ UIDs and the last 4 digits of their OpenIDs. The Team Owner is also responsible for entering a Team Name.
When registering a team, first read and agree to the to the official rules of Stage 2B, and then tap the "Create A Team" button on the landing page to the in-game sign up. Here you will see where to enter the Team Name, Teammate’s UIDs and the last 4 digits of your Teammate’s OpenIDs.
IMPORTANT: In order to play these matches, your team needs to be close enough in rank to queue for ranked matches together. For more details, please see "IMPORTANT NOTE ON RANKED QUEUING RESTRICTIONS" section below.

Team Members:
"Team Members" will be responsible for first agreeing to the terms of Stage 2B and then messaging their individual UIDs and last 4 digits of their OpenIDs to the Team Owner in order to be added to a team. Each Team Member and Team Owner must have qualified for Stage 2B of the CODM World Championship 2020. Teams compete with FIVE players in Ranked Multiplayer Matches but can have up to 6 players on their roster. Team Members and Team Owners must all be in the same region.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON RANKED QUEUING RESTRICTIONS:
Ranked Overview:
• Ranked players are organized into 6 groups, starting with Rookie at the lowest, then Veteran, Elite, Pro, Master, and finally Legendary at the top.
• Each of these groups with the exception of Legendary is broken up into 5 ranks designated with roman numerals, from I to V.  I is the low end, V is the high end.
• Players make their way up the ranks by winning ranked matches, either playing solo or queuing up with teammates of similar rank.
• For balanced matchmaking purposes, there are restrictions as to how far apart in rank players can be when queuing up for a Ranked match.
Ranked Queuing Restrictions:
• For all ranks Rookie through Elite, you can queue for Ranked matches with players that are 5 ranks above or below you (for example, Elite V players can queue with players ranked Veteran V to Pro V).
• Pro I-IV players can queue for ranked matches with players that are 5 ranks below, or 4 ranks above (for example, Pro IV players can queue with Elite IV-Master III players).
• Pro V players can queue with players that are 5 ranks below, or 3 ranks above (i.e. Elite V-Master III).
• Master I-II players can queue with players that are 4 ranks below, or 3 ranks above (for example, Master II players can queue with Pro III-Master V players).
• Master III-V can queue with players that are 4 ranks below, and any rank above including Legendary (for example, Master V players can queue with Master I to Legendary players).
• Legendary players can queue with players Master III and above.
Note: The above reflect how matchmaking queuing restrictions function as of June 2020, and are subject to change in future versions.
