At long last, it’s here—the League of Legends: Wild Rift Regional Closed Beta! Looks like your patience has finally paid off, and now you can—

[b][u]ACTUALLY, I HAVEN’T REGISTERED YET…

[/u][/b]Well, what are you waiting for?! Get your name on the list! The official will be randomly selecting pre-registered players from eligible regions to add to the Closed Beta on a rolling basis, so it’s never too late to sign up!

I THINK I REGISTERED, BUT I’M NOT SURE…

This one’s easy to check! Just go check out the app in the Google Play Store, where you will be greeted with one of three possibilities!

1. You still need to pre-register! Just tap the button and follow the instructions.

2. You’ve pre-registered, but either Beta hasn’t started in your region or you haven’t been selected yet. Good things come to those who wait, so hold tight!

3. YOU’RE IN!

I GOT INTO THE CLOSED BETA! NOW WHAT?

Flash your favorite emote! Tell all your friends!

Oh, and maybe install the game.

Once that’s taken care of, simply follow the in-game instructions to get started and see what Wild Rift has to offer.

[b][u]HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM THE ALPHA?

[/u][/b]For starters, the in-game store is now LIVE! Drop in to see all the cool stuff the official has been working on, and maybe even grab a few things to bling out your account! If you’re not sure how to get the items you want, visit the in-game currency page to check out your options!

Then there’s the progress reset...

WAIT—A PROGRESS RESET?

Yes! Here’s what to expect:

Early October, 2020 - Beta temporarily closes.

2. ALL PLAYER PROGRESS/CONTENT RESETS.

3. A few days later - Beta resumes for all previous Beta players, invites more participants, and adds more regions.

Worried about the fate of your paid content? Don’t be! Players who purchased Wild Cores prior to the reset will have all of them returned, PLUS 20%! In fact, there are a few other small exceptions that won’t be reset. WHEN IS THE BETA COMING TO MY REGION?

Launching a mobile game of this scope and quality presents a lot of unique challenges, not the least of which is managing a complex global network. With this in mind, it is and always has been the official's mission to make sure all their titles are region-ready before going live. Some places have more boxes to tick than others, but the official firmly believes that a slower, smoother launch will give more value to their players than a rushed, fractured one.

The official is as eager to share the news of their growing list of supported regions as they hope you are to receive it, so thank you in advance for your patience while they make sure Wild Rift’s launch is one for the books!

SO WHAT’S AFTER CLOSED BETA? AN OPEN BETA?

As the official continues to roll out Wild Rift across the world, different regions will enter different phases of availability at different times. A region that’s been in Closed Beta for awhile may switch to Regional Open Beta (anybody in that region can download the game!), while a separate region enters their own Regional Closed Beta (limited invites, gradual expansion). The official apologize for any initial confusion this may cause, but they are hoping that the delineation between open and closed will eventually create a better overall understanding of how the Beta process will be evolving across current and future regions.

WHAT’S UP WITH THIS MAP?

A whole lot!

Wild Rift’s smaller map necessitated a number of changes to its predecessor, Summoner’s Rift. While some things have been removed (like Nexus turrets), other features have been added (like a NEXUS THAT SHOOTS YOU).

In fact, there are enough changes to warrant a whole page about the new Wild Rift map! This is also the best place to learn about which game modes will await you in the Beta, so read up to ready up!

HOW CAN I GIVE FEEDBACK ON THE GAME?

While the official will occasionally provide players with the opportunity to speak their mind through random in-app surveys, more pressing concerns can always be shared by going to whichever app marketplace you downloaded the game from and leaving a review!

The official does their best to listen to the concerns of all of the players. After all, a game isn’t worth much without someone to play it! Letting us know what they did right, what still needs work, and what you’re most looking forward to is a great way to help shape the future of Wild Rift.
