Regional Closed Beta Progress Reset
First, we’d like to give a shoutout to all the players who have participated in the League of Legends: Wild Rift Regional Closed Beta. You’re pioneers of the Rift, braving bugs and stressing servers to help pave the way for a smooth launch. We couldn’t do it without you!
But our journey has just begun, and more challenges await!
WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE CLOSED BETA?We’re looking to add a lot more players to the Closed Beta! That includes adding more regions, but also a little housekeeping...
Early October, 2020 - Closed Beta temporarily closes.ALL PLAYER PROGRESS/CONTENT RESETS.A few days later - Closed Beta resumes, invites more players, and adds more regions.Please note that this isn’t a complete list of supported regions, so even if you don’t see your place of residence, there’s still a chance!
WAIT—A RESET? WHAT ABOUT ALL THE STUFF I BOUGHT?!Don’t worry! Not only will your Wild Cores be returned after the reset, but you’ll receive an additional 20% boost! That’s 120% of the Wild Cores you purchased! Think of it as a small token of gratitude for all your help.
THAT’S GREAT! BUT WHAT ABOUT MY PROGRESS?Dropping back to level one, losing your champ pool… No question about it, resets are rough.
But think about it this way: when you start a match in Wild Rift, everybody’s on perfectly equal footing. Same levels, same Gold. A reset allows us to recreate that fairness for all the players entering the Closed Beta for the first time. And remember! Just like the Rift, your performance is not based on all the loot you’ve accrued, but on your experience—and there’s no resetting that.
It’s also worth mentioning that not everything will reset. Your friend list, chat history, custom item loadouts, and other settings/permissions will remain untouched!
