Publisher Krafton Says: Report;

The PUBG Mobile India team is focused on bringing the Indian game to South Africa, said a representative for the game's publisher Krafton. According to the report, Krafton also said that as he did his best to prepare for the launch of the Indian version of PUBG, he had decided not to open the previous registration of PUBG: New State in India. The new game has just been announced in other markets and is ready to be pre-registered on Google Play and the App Store for Android and iOS devices, respectively.

A Krafton spokesman said, "As Krafton is doing its best to prepare for the launch of the new PUBG app that is specially designed and used for India, it has decided not to include pre-registration of PUBG: New State in India". Based on this, it looks like the company will focus on bringing PUBG Mobile India to the country and Kraftron appears to be in talks with the Indian government to try to do just that.

PUBG Mobile was shut down in India in September last year due to its relationship with Chinese company Tencent and there have been several attempts since then to recover. Following the ban, PUBG Mobile's rights to publish and distribute were acquired by Krafton, a Korean company. Krafton has been trying to bring PUBG Mobile back to India and although it will soon release a new version of the game called PUBG: New State which is not available for pre-registration in India, its focus is still on bringing PUBG Mobile India to the country.

"We are awaiting consideration with the Indian government regarding our next plan with PUBG in the region," the report quoted a Krafton communications representative as saying.

While this does not guarantee the game, PUBG Mobile fans can find comfort in knowing that developers and publishers are working to restart the game in India.
