For this week's TapTap Eats recipe, we've chosen a suggestion from one of our Discord community members, birthday! They suggested the Juicy Well-Done "Drumstick" from Monster Hunter World.
So, today I have a pretty simple and easy-to-make dish that's inspired by the Juicy Well-Done "Drumstick" from Monster Hunter World that you can cook at home without worry. This recipe will only take 1 Hour and 40 Minutes, but most of that time is spent cooking the food in the oven. You'll only really need to spend 20 Minutes preparing and making this recipe.
How To Make Juicy-Well Done "Drumstick" from Monster Hunter World:
For this recipe, we'll make lemon, pepper, butter, and herb roasted chicken drumsticks, and it'll take minimal effort to make the dish. One of the great things about this recipe is that you can cook it in an oven or by pan-frying. It can also be served with rice, vegetables, mash, pasta, or whatever you truly like. And the best part of all, it's really, really tasty!
Equipment:
• Large Sheet Pan
• Large and Small Bowls
• Knife and Chopping Board
• Spoon or Brush
• Oven Mitts/Gloves or Kitchen Towel (If you're using an oven)
• Large Saute Pan or Cast Iron Pan (If you're cooking over the stove)
Ingredients:
Seasoning Blend
1/2 Tablespoon of Thyme
1/2 Tablespoon of Rosemary
2 Tablespoon of Salt
1/2 Tablespoon of Pepper or Lemon Pepper
1 Tablespoon of Parsley or A Handful of Fresh Parsley
1/2 Teaspoon of Chili Flakes (Optional)
1/2 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
1/2 Teaspoon of Marjoram (Optional)
200g Butter Unsalted
4 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice or 1 Whole Lemon
Produce
500g Chicken Drumsticks
Procedure:
1. Preheat the oven to 150° or Gas Mark 3. In a small bowl, combine all the spices and mix thoroughly. You'll need to melt the butter with the spices to open up their fragrance and flavor. You can do this over the stove or in the microwave; just make sure not to brown the butter too much or burn the spices.
2. Let the spice-infused butter cool down. Once cooled down, in a large bowl, add the chicken, then pour 2/3 of the butter and mix until all the drumsticks are coated. You can save 1/3 of the butter for any vegetables, rice, or additional side dishes you'd like to serve with the chicken.
3. Place the now-coated chicken into the large sheet pan. Feel free to surround the chicken with whatever you like. I personally added some potatoes, mushrooms, and carrots.
4. Place the chicken inside the large sheet pan into the oven and let it cook for 75-90 Minutes.
You can also cook this mixture on the stove if you don't have an oven. If you're cooking over the stove, simply set the heat to high to sear the chicken and give it a brown crust; then, once both sides are seared, set the heat to medium-low and cover with a lid. Let it cook until tender and juicy.
5. Everyone's oven is a little different, so make sure to check up on the chicken in the oven every 30 Minutes. Once cooked to your preference. Take the sheet pan out and let it cool down for ten minutes. Finally, serve with any side you enjoy. And done!
And that's how to make the iconic item, Juicy Well-Done "Drumstick," from Monster Hunter World. If you'd like to participate in our newest community event, TapTap Eats, feel free to join TapTap's Discord server. For more game-inspired recipes, stay tuned!
